My Story
My healthcare career journey was introduced to me by my wonderful, God fearing, funny, mother. My mother was also a dedicated, compassionate care giver and a single mother of 3 children. I began working in healthcare in 2001. I have worked with mentally challenged adults, dual diagnosed adults and children, hospice aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, Direct Support Staff, Resource Navigator, Life Skills Worker and Program Specialist.
My passion and heart have always been caring and helping others in all capacities. When my mother became ill, I knew I would be her caretaker in 2014. I worked has a CNA at Ohio Valley Hospital on the overnight shift. My mother would care for my son while I worked, after each shift I would take my mom to Chemo treatment before going to sleep. She cared for my son until she could no longer do so. That year 2014 I had a business name in my spirit "Helping Hands Mending Hearts." My mother passed in 2015, her last written words to me and my siblings were "Never Give Up" "Never Give In" "Never Be Deterred". I was 11 weeks pregnant with my daughter when she left this world. In 2018, the loss of my brother profoundly changed how I view life. In his honor, I named my youngest son (middle name) I gave birth to in 2020 after my brothers Gospel Rap name "True."
My career path continued in healthcare but, with a heavy heart. I lost two vital people in my life! I chose to proceed with God's will and continue to give love, compassion, dignity along with respect to all those I cared for. I didn't feel complete, not bringing my vision and mission to life. I needed to take a stand to be a voice for those struggling with mental health and battling life or death. So, in 2025 I decided to finish what I started in 2014. Guidance from God positioned me to bring my business name, vision, mission, and compassion to light. I am dedicated to helping others I take true pride in giving genuine care, dignity, respect, building reports, and furthermore treating every person I come in contact with like family.
This year 2026, I became a Volunteer Advocate for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. To support all those battling with life or death decisions.
Golden Rule in Life: "Do unto others, as you would want them to do unto you."
